The Northern Regional Football Association Boss Alhaji Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo has reiterated his commitment towards building the capacity of club officials to improve football in the region.

He said giving all actors in the football development chain, the requisite skills would ensure the collective growth of the game.

Alhaji Rhyzo was responding to an appeal by the Chairman of the West Mamprusi Municipal Football Association (WMMFA) Issah Mutala to assist in training coaches for the municipality.

Mr. Mutala in his welcome address at the official inauguration of the WMMFA on Sunday, October, 25, 2020 revealed the municipality has no single licensed coach, not even with the introductory.

He, therefore, appealed to the NRFA Boss to consider the area for the development of coaches.

Responding to his appeal, the NRFA Chairman said training in the area of player registration is already ongoing and the medical committee of the NRFA also only started training clubs on health safety.

‘The Data and Statistics Committee has trained IT Officers in the various DFA’s with the exception of Tamale Metro on registration of player onto the FIFA Connect System. The Medical Committee on Saturday, October, 24, 2020 started training some DFA’s on Covid 19, diet and nutrition, resuscitation, management of minor injurious, dopping among others” Alhaj Rhyzo stated.

He assured that as and when coaching programmes are arranged, the NRFA would make sure that no district including the West Mamprusi Municipality is left out

“We want to have more coaches to develop the game and the Northern Regional FA will lobby for more coaching programmes to increase the stock of coaches in the region”Alhaji Rhyzo said.
