Tamale Utrecht Football Academy has won its protest against Tamale Sunrise FC.
The Club has therefore been declared winners of their Matchday eight (8) against Tamale Sunrise FC.
In accordance with Article 56 of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Statutes (2019) and Article 35(9) of the GFA Regional Föotball Associations Leagues Regulations (2021), Tamale Utrecht Football Academy protested against Tamale Sunrise F/C for failing to report and to honour their match day eight (8) fixture of the Northern Regional Division Two (2) League contrary to Article 33(1)(f) ofthe RFA league regulations (2021) on 25th July 2021.
Utrecht Football Academy sort that Pursuant to Article 33(3) of the RFA league regulations, it should be awarded with three (3) points and three (3) goals accordingly.
The NRFA Disciplinary Committee in its ruling therefore upheld the protest and makes the following Decisions:
1. That for failing to report and to honour for the Matchday 8 match without just cause, Tamale Sunrise FC shall forfeit the match in accordance with Article 33(1)(f) of the GFA Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations (2021).
2. That having been found to have forfeited the match, (Tamale Sunrise FC) shall be considered as having lost the match in accordance with Article 33(3) of the GFA Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations (2021) and accordingly, three
(3) points and three (3) goals are hereby awarded in favour of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy.
3. That in addition, being the defaulting club, Tamale Sunrise FC shall lose three (3) points from the club’s accumulated points from their previous matches pursuant to Article 33(5)(a) of the GFA Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations (2021).
4. That in addition, the defaulting club (Tamale Sunrise FC) is hereby fined Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GHC 500.00) payable to the RFA, 60% of which shall be paid to Tamale Utrecht Football Academy pursuant to Article 33(5)(b) of the GFA Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations (2021).
5. That the amount mentioned in Decision 4 above, shall be paid to the RFA within fourteen (14) days upon receipts of this Ruling, failing which Tamale Sunrise FC shall forfeit their subsequent matches after the said deadline in accordance with Articles 37(1)(b) and 37(8)(c)(d) of the of the GFA Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations(2021).
6. That should any party be dissatisfied with or aggrieved by this Decision, the party has within one (1) day of being notified of this Ruling to appeal to the Disciplinary Committee of the GFA {See Article 35(10) of the GFA Regional Football Associations Leagues Regulations 2021).
