The Northern Regional Football Association at its office at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium today, distributed a total of 115 footballs to all 23 registered female clubs in the region.
In all, each club received 5 footballs.
Doing the presentation at a short ceremony in Tamale, the Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo advised clubs in the region to prepare adequately for the commencement of their league which kicks off in 2 weeks time.
The clubs were assured of the continuous support of the RFA and asked to cooperate for the overall development of the game up north.
The Regional Chairman also praised the FA President Mr. Kurt Okraku and the General Secretary Mr. Prosper Harrison Addo Esq. for supporting the region with balls.
The Chairperson of the Regional Women Football Committee, Hajia Zelia Iddi on her part, thanked the Regional Chairman for honoring a pledge he made on the floor of Congress a couple of weeks ago regarding the balls.
Other members of the Regional Womens Committee present were Hajia Adamu Fulani, Mr Amadu Iddrisu YC, Coach Sumani Basiru Deen, Ms Monica Achuadem, Mr Muniru Odongo Wowor, Mr Arimiyao Barhama , Mr Inusah and Mr Iddi Manza, the Vice Chair.
